About Paul Dinas
I'm what you might call a "lifer." I've spent my entire adult life as a publishing professional in the hub of trade publishing: Manhattan.
After graduating with a BA in English and Linguistics from Hofstra University, I took my first publishing job in a small press near my hometown of Farmingdale, Long Island, New York. It was one of the last traditional publishers before the digitalization of book publishing. I learned to love the craft of publishing there and soon started my career in the mainstream world of trade publishing in Manhattan.
I honed my trade at a variety of different publishing houses, working on nearly every kind of book. Novels in every genre, from Thrillers and Mysteries to Romance and Inspirational. True Crime. Investigative Journalism. Biography. Big Coffee Table Books. Humor. Young Adult. Health. You name it, I've published it. I've worked with and published bestselling authors and launched the careers of hundreds of first-time authors. It continues to be an exciting and rewarding career. But the best part of being an editor has always been the relationships I've shared with authors. I feel fortunate to have been able to share in their creative vision as an editorial partner. After nearly three decades, I still feel inspired by their dedication and am happy to help them achieve their goals in any way I can.
I live in Queens, a borough of New York City, with my wife of over thirty years. We have two grown children.
